Density Layer

Adaptive differential compression algorithms analyze file entropy in real time and select the optimal encoding scheme for each data segment. This achieves packing densities unattainable with static codecs.

Velocity Layer

The use of the congestion-control BBR (Bottleneck Bandwidth and RTT) algorithm in combination with TCP Fast Open allows us to minimize the delay in establishing a connection between storage nodes and eliminate artificial “traffic jams” in the channel for transmitting compressed blocks.

Mesh Distribution Layer

Within the PLASMA infrastructure, each node can dynamically select input and output distribution points for data fragments, creating an optimal delivery topology based on load, geography, and channel conditions. This ensures load balancing between compression data centers and resilience to local network failures.
